Mark Dobkin Studio Orca Orca

Orca Orca

Orca Orca is a very unique piece for many reasons. One is that the orca’s head also looks like it’s tail, and vica versa. And, if you turn it upside down, it appears to be a humpback whale with the same thing going on — tail could be head, head tail! And lastly, it feels so ancient as if a Tlingit or Haita native had carved it. Orca Orca is one of the most precious art works I’ve ever had the honor of carving. Part of my private collection I am finally offering it for purchase.

Mark Dobkin Studio Liquid Stone

Liquid Stone

Liquid Stone or The Perfect Wave represents what all surfers want to ride — a wave that opens up so much that it creates a pipe-like or tube affect (hence the surf spot on the north shore of Oahu called “Pipeline”).

Mark Dobkin Studio Fish from a Coral Sea

Fish from a Coral Sea

Fish from a Coral Sea, inspired by all that diving time I spent in the beautiful waters of Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean, Costa Rica and California captivated by all the rainbow-colored fish. I noticed how they moved, how they seemed to glide in this amazing substance we call water. I love being in the mesmerizing world under the surface.
